Day 01: Delhi
Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, you will be transferred to the hotel. (Early Check-in Subject to availability).
Delhi, the capital of various strong Empires and now a modern city with mix of old ancient culture. A perfect city to start your tour.
Day 02: Delhi
Today we will start sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort (from outside) – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire.
Afternoon, sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave.
In evening enjoy dinner at local Indian restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi – Bhubaneswar (By Flight)
Today after early breakfast transfer to the airport to board flight for Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room.
Later, we will visit Jain Monk’s Caves of 2nd Century B.C. at the twin hills of Khandagiri – Udaygiri and Tribal Museum.
Evening is free for relaxation or independently explores the local bazaars. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Bhubaneswar
Today morning after breakfast, we will go for Temple tour around Bhubaneswar visiting Lingaraj Temple, Brahmeshwar Temple, Rajarani Temple, Mukteshwara Temple and Yogini Temple.
Evening is free for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Puri (approx. 100kms / 02 ½ hours) enroute visiting Konark Sun Temple. The temple often called as the Black Pagoda, was constructed in 13th century by Raja Narasingha Deva-I of the Ganga Dynasty. The temple is in the form of a huge chariot drawn by seven spirited horses on 12 pairs of exquisitely decorated wheels- resembling the mythical seven horse chariot of Sun God. The temple of Konark is unique in its architecture and implementation.
Later, continue your drive to Puri. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax on the Golden Beach of Puri. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Puri
Today after breakfast, visit to pay our homage at the temple of Jagannath Puri. Shri Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu lord of the Universe is the supreme solace and saviour of countless devotees around the world. Jagannath Puri is one of the four major Dhamas of India. The temple is symbolizing one of the greatest spiritual and cultural heritages of the world.
Rest of the day is free for leisurely walk along the beach side. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Puri – Chilika Lake – Puri
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Chilika Lake, the largest brackish water lake in Asia. In winter, lake is full with thousands of migratory birds as far as from Siberia.
This Lake is the largest area for migratory birds in the Indian subcontinent and now some part of the lake is protected as Chilika Lake Bird Sanctuary. Do boat ride in lake and visit a fisherman village at Chilika Lake and see their daily routine.
Late afternoon return to the Puri and explore local market famous for their Sculpture and workshops. Overnight stay.
Day 08: Puri – Taptapani
Today after early breakfast drive to Taptapani (approx. 225Kms / 05 hours) to visit the Chandragiri – the Tibetan refugee villages. In early 60s after china attacked Tibet, lots of Tibetan refugees arrived in this part of country and settle here permanently. Government established huge number of camps to settle Tibetan refugees.
Here, we will visit monastery of Padma Sambhava Maha vihara to know more about their culture. Later relax at Taptapani Hot Spring Water. Overnight at the hotel/homestay.
Day 09: Taptapani – Balliguda
Today after early breakfast, drive to Balliguda (approx. 230Kms / 05-06 hours) en-route we will visit typical Odisha Phulbani village. This area is covered by hills and large reservoir of Salunki River close to it. Here, we will interact with people of this village to get more information about their culture and traditional.
Late afternoon drive to Balliguda. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Balliguda
Today after breakfast, we will go for trekking to nearby area where Kutia Kondh Tribes lives which is famous for Tattoo faced. People of this tribe is very easy going and spend their whole life from nearby resources.
Evening is free for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Balliguda – Chati kona – Rayagada
Today after breakfast drive to Rayagada (approx. 150Kms / 04 hours) en-route visit small town of Chati kona where Dongria Kondh tribes sell their products at weekly market. This tribes lives in hill area and agriculture is there main occupation. People used to have long hairs and wear earring and nose ring. Here, we will interact with people of this tribes to get more information about their culture and traditional.
Later drive to Rayagada. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Rayagada – Koraput – Jeypore
Today after breakfast drive to Jeypore (approx. 135Kms / 03 hours) en-route stop at Koraput to visit tribal museum and koraput Jagannath Temple. Later, one can visit market to buy traditional jewellery and handicraft from Paraja tribes.
Later drive to Jeypore. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Jeypore
Today after early breakfast will go for an excursion to Lamtaput tribal villages. Here, we will see Bonda tribes which lives near to mountains and forest. This tribe is one of the unique tribes and still carrying their culture and traditional. Women wear lots of silver and brass jewellery around neck and arms. It’s a beautiful experience to watch them as few tribes are left like this. In this area, photography is strictly prohibited.
After that, we will interact with other community of nearby villages to know more about them. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Jeypore
Today after breakfast, we will go to Kunduli marketplace to explore more tribes. Here, you will see people gather from different tribes to sell their product and handicraft. It’s a biggest tribal market where one can witness true colour and traditional.
After that, we will go to another village to interact with the people of Sana Paroja tribes. Also, do bit of trekking to explore other villages like Bda Padar, Saana Padar and Khilus for their unique culture, handicraft and pottery making art. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Jeypore – Visakhapatnam
Today after breakfast, drive to Visakhapatnam (approx. 215Kms / 05 hours). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surrounding area. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 16: Depart Visakhapatnam
Morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
