Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, we are transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 – Delhi
Morning sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 – Delhi – Rishikesh
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Rishikesh (approx. 245Kms / 05 hours). Upon arrival check-in at the Ashram and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Evening is free for yoga activities. Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 04 – Rishikesh
Today we will do mediation and yoga activities as per the timing of Ashram and rest of the day is free to enjoy the city. Late evening visit the Ghats for Aarti ceremony dedicated to Goddesses Ganga. Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 05 – Rishikesh
Early morning mediation and yoga activities at the Ashram. After breakfast start the sightseeing tour of Rishikesh which includes Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Bharat Mandir the oldest temple, Nilkanth Mahadev believed to be the place where Lord Shiva drank the poison churned out of the cosmic ocean, Raghunath Mandir and walk down to Triveni Ghat by a Ganges River to witness evening Aarti where hundreds of people congregate here each evening to witness traditional Hindu prayer. Overnight at the Ashram.
Day 06 – Rishikesh – Delhi – Varanasi
Early morning mediation and yoga activities at the Ashram. After breakfast drive to Delhi railway station (approx. 245kms / 05 hours) to board evening train for Varanasi. Overnight on the board.
Day 07 – Varanasi
Morning arrive at Varanasi railway station and transfer to the hotel for check-in (Early check-in subject to availability). Varanasi situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, it has been a center of pilgrimage and learning for over 2000 years and is considered to be one of the oldest surviving cities in the world. Later proceed for a panoramic city sightseeing tour of Varanasi including tour to Sarnath, the site of Lord Buddha’s first sermon after attaining enlightenment. At Sarnath we meet many Buddhist monks and followers before visiting local homes to see in-home silk weaving and soak up some local customs, culture and hospitality. Evening witness Aarti ceremony at Ghats. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 – Varanasi – Delhi (By Night Train)
Early morning boat ride to watch the sunrise over the Ganges when hundreds of people are worshiping and taking bath. Later tour the old city visiting the principles temples including Kashi Hindu University where more than fifty thousand students from all over the world are learning.
In evening transfer to the railway station to board train for Delhi. Overnight on the board.
Day 09 – Depart Delhi
In the morning arrive at Delhi railway station transfers to the hotel for wash & change. Later visit Akshardham temple, it is a Hindu temple built on the banks of river Yamuna. The temple depicts an impeccable blend of grandeur, beauty, wisdom, and bliss. Akshardham means the eternal, divine abode of supreme God.
The temple was built in 5 years and the most wonderful thing about it is that no steel was used in the making of this monument; it is only composed of sandstone and marble. It consists of 234 ornately carved pillars, 20 quadrangle shikars, a spectacular Gajendrapith and 20,000 murtis and statues of India’s great sadhus and devotees adorn the temple.
Afternoon visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. It is the most prominent and historic Sikh shrine in Delhi. This shrine is known for its association with the eighth Sikh guru, Guru Har Krishan, and the pond inside its complex is known as the Sarovar and is considered holy by the Sikhs (also known as Amrit). The Gurudwara was built in the 17th century. The dome of this Gurudwara and its Sanctum Sanctorum is Guilded with pure gold. Evening is free to explore the city or for individual activities.
In night transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
