Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, we are transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 – Delhi
Morning sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort (from outside) – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire.
Afternoon, sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. Evening is free for individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 – Delhi – Chandigarh – Nalagarh
Today morning after breakfast drive to Chandigarh (approx. 255kms / 05 hours). The capital of two states, Punjab & Haryana, Chandigarh is independent India’s most modern and well-planned city, designed by Le Corbusier.
Upon arrival, start tour of Chandigarh including Rock Garden, constructed almost entirely out of city garbage, Rose Garden 30 landscaped acres containing a variety of 1600 roses; Museum & Art Gallery with a good collection of paintings and sculptures.
Late afternoon drive to Nalagarh (approx. 65kms / 01 ½ hours). Upon arrival check in to the Nalagarh Fort. The fort is located at the foothills of the Himalayas with a panoramic view of the Shivalik Hills. Nalagarh was ruled by the Chandela Rajputs who originate from the Bundelkhand region of Central India. This impressive Fort was built by Raja Bikram Chand in 1421. The present Raja of Nalagarh still lives there with family. Overnight at the fort.
Day 04 – Nalagarh – Pragpur
Morning after breakfast explore the fort and enjoy its beauty. Here, we can enjoy a pleasure walk to green fields and have a short village tour.
Later drive to Pragpur (approx. 125kms / 03 hours), located at an elevation of about 1800 ft. in the Kangra valley and the most panoramic areas of Himachal Pradesh. The small village of Pragpur is lies just below Dhauladhars ranges. This small town still have unchanged shops, cobbled street, mud plastered roofed houses.
Upon arrival at Pragpur, check into the resort surrounded by an orchard of Mangoes, Grapes and exotic trees like Camphor, Clove & Cardamom. Afternoon explore the surrounding area of town. Overnight at the resort.
Day 05 – Pragpur – Dharamshala
Morning after breakfast explore the resort and enjoy its pristine beauty. Here, we can enjoy a pleasure walk to green fields and have a short village tour.
Later drive to Dharamshala (approx. 65kms / 02 hours). Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax in the comforts of your room.
Dharamshala set against the backdrop of the dramatic Dhauladhar Mountains, lies on the high slopes of Kangra Valley. It is a charming town with elegant bungalows nestling in thick conifer forests. Evening is free for individual activities or relaxations. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 – Dharamshala
Morning sightseeing tour of Dharamshala including various monasteries and Mcleodganj often called Little Lhasa and the residence of the Dalai Lama, which has been here for over three decades.
The monastery has larger-than-life images of the Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avalokteshwara. Also visit St. John, the charming dressed stone church in the wilderness. Evening is free for leisure walk in local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 – Dharamshala
Morning is at leisure. Day is free for leisure walk around surrounding area or individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 – Dharamshala – Amritsar
Today morning after breakfast drive to Amritsar (approx. 210kms / 04 ½ hours). It is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh religion with very beautiful and unique Gurdwara (place of worship). The Golden Temple was initiated by Guru Ramdas Ji, and completed in 1601. It is now a major pilgrimage centre of Sikh community.
Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax in the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 – Amritsar
Today you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Amritsar by visiting the Golden Temple means “holy pool of nectar”. After your visit to this exotic complex, you will proceed for Jallianwala Bagh & Mata Temple. Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) is a short walk from the Golden Temple and is the site of the 1919 Amritsar massacre. You will also visit the Summer Palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Afternoon visit to Wagha border – It’s a border town straddling the line between Pakistan and India. This is the only crossing point between Pakistan and India that is regularly open to foreigners.
Evening return to the hotel for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 – Amritsar – Delhi (By Train)
Early morning transfer to Railway Station to board train for Delhi. Late morning arrive in Delhi and rest of the day is free for individual activities or shopping.
Late night transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
