Day 01: Delhi
Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, you will be transferred to the hotel. (Early Check-in Subject to availability).
Delhi, the capital of different empires and rulers and now a modern city with touch of past. It is a perfect introduction to culture and ancient land of India. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
Today we will start sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort (from outside) – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire.
Afternoon, sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave. In evening enjoy dinner at local Indian restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi – Agra
Morning drive to Agra (approx. 210kms / 04hours). Upon arrival check-in to hotel. Afternoon visit the Agra Fort containing the halls private and public audiences. Both buildings are truly spectacular and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the World.
Later visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shahjahan in 1648 in memory of his Queen Mumtaj Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skills (Friday Closed).
Later witness the display of Marble Inlay Work (same intricate work done on marbles used in Taj Mahal). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Agra – Abhaneri – Jaipur
This day after breakfast, proceed to Jaipur (approx. 255kms / 05-06hours) en-route visiting Abhaneri. This village is home to an unheralded architectural jewel and one of the most beautiful step wells (Baori) in Rajasthan. Abhaneri was gifted with skilled craftsmen and many sculptures from Abhaneri belonging to the post Gupta or early medieval period are displayed in various museums around the world.
Continue your drive to Jaipur. It is known as the rose pink capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is filled with frenetic crowds; Rajasthan’s chaotic and dusky – pink capital is a place of wild contrasts. Jaipur’s old city, its rich colour deepening and fading according to the light, is lined with long, twinkling bazaars. The city owes its name from great warrior -astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh II (1693 – 1743).
Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Evening visit Aarti ceremony at Birla Temple. Overnight at the hotel
Day 05: Jaipur
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned Elephant for the climb to the main gate. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families.
Afternoon tour of the Pink City – will include City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artefacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here. Also visit the Hawa Mahal “Palace of the Winds”, and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments.
Evening is free to relaxation or explores the crowded and colorful lanes of the pink city’s local bazaars. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur – Bikaner
Morning after breakfast drive to Bikaner (approx. 320kms / 05-06hours). This desert town in the north of the state was founded in 1488 by Roa Bikaji, a descendant of the founder of Jodhpur, Jodhaji.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel and start your city tour including the Junagarh Fort constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Moghul Emperor Akbar’s army and camel breeding farm. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Bikaner – Nagaur
Morning after breakfast, drive to Nagaur (approx. 100kms / 03hours) enroute visiting “Deshnok” which is world famous for its “Rat Temple”
Upon arrival in Nagaur, transfer to the Tent for check-in. Rest of the day is free to enjoy cattle fair. Overnight stay in Tent.
Day 08: Nagaur (Cattle Fair)
Morning after breakfast, full day is free to witness this festival. Local people bring their cattle’s from all part of the state as lots of buying and selling is involved in this festival.
One can witness dance performed and special music performance by local tribes. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09: Nagaur – Jodhpur
Morning after breakfast, drive to Jodhpur (approx. 145kms / 03-04hours). Jodhpur, The Gateway to the Thar desert, the city is known for its striking Forts, stately palaces and gracious buildings. Some of these are now India`s finest hotels. The city was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha of The Rajput clan.
Upon arrival transfer to the hotel and visit Mehrangarh Fort built by the city`s founder five centuries ago, Jaswant Thada, museum and local bazaar.
Evening enjoy special Rajasthani food (Indian cuisines) at local restaurant overlooking Palace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Jodhpur – Ranakpur
Morning after breakfast, drive to Ranakpur (approx. 180kms / 04hours). Upon arrival visit, Jain temple of Ranakpur. This famous Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quiet & picturesque.
Ranakpur has grand structures & beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. The magic of light & shade is really awe inspiring. Surya Temple and other Jain Temples are side attractions. Also stop over to see traditional process of jaggery making.
Post visit, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Evening is free for individual activities or relaxations. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Ranakpur – Kumbalgarh – Udaipur
Morning after breakfast, drive to Udaipur (approx. 120kms / 03hours) en-route visit massive Kumbhalgarh Fort encompassed by a 36kms long wall and has seven majestic gates and seven ramparts, one within the other.
Udaipur is founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559 AD (Maha means great & Rana means warrior, so Maharana means a great warrior). Udaipur is a beautiful city of lakes, with its hilltop fortresses, fairytale palaces and exotic legends and its urban and industrial center, the city is proud of its heritage as a center for performing arts, painting and crafts. Most of the marble palaces and fortification have now been transformed into palace hotels.
Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Late afternoon, enjoy exciting cultural folk dances of Rajasthan and special meal at the restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Udaipur
Morning after breakfast, day guided city tour to visit the City Palace, it stands on a hill surrounded by crenulated walls. Its main entrance is through the triple arched gate, the Tripolia, built in 1725.
Visit the Crystal Gallery, this is one the most lustrous attractions for tourist showcasing the rare and precious crystal from the royal treasure, closely is another fascinating monument Jagdish Temple, Built in 1651 A.D. by Maharaja Jagat Singh I. It is the largest and most splendid temple in Udaipur and later visit Sahalion Ki Bari.
Afternoon enjoy boat ride in lake Pichola. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Udaipur – Delhi (By Flight)
Morning is free for individual activities. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi, evening is free for individual activities.
Late night departure transfer to the airport to connect your flight for onward destination.
