Darjeeling Tea Tasting Tour

Day 01 – Arrive Kolkata
Arrive Kolkata by International flight and meet the representative at the arrival hall and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 – Kolkata – Bagdogra (By Flight) – Darjeeling
Morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight for Bagdogra. Upon arrival, drive to Darjeeling (approx. 75Kms / 04 hours), the “Queen of the hill stations”, its name derived from “Dorje-Line” which means the place of “Dorje”, the mystic thunderbolt. Covering a distance along the Teesta & then a vertical climb thru Tea Gardens, it is an experience of unforgettable beauty.

Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Afternoon is free for leisure walks or explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 – Darjeeling – Tumsong Tea Estate
Today after breakfast, we will visit the Tea Estate whish is located 22kms from city area. It was established in 1867 and was planted keeping the sentiments of the indigenous people in mind. Here you will get amazed with scenic view of the estate having amazing view of surrounding Kanchenjunga hill which is the third highest mountain peak in the world.

Upon arrival check in to the Bungalow. After, visit the Tea garden and later witness tea processing at the factory. After lunch, we will witness tea presentation by a local tea expert followed by a tea tasting. Overnight at the Bungalow.

Day 04 – Tumsong Tea Estate – Darjeeling
Today early morning we will enjoy walk inside the tea garden to feel morning mist. Later return to the Bungalow for breakfast. Later we will see near by Tea Estate.  This estate is located in the picturesque hillside at a very high altitude. This high altitude is a plus point for the estate as most of the time the valley is cover by mountain mist which creates a unique effect on plantation and offer a amazing flavour to its tea. This estate is famous for the upmost quality of tea in Darjeeling.

Upon arrival, enjoy walking through the tea garden on hill slope. Visit to the factory and see the entire tea making process. Visit the storage area where tea leaves are kept on wooden beds for weathering and also watch remaining process thru dedicated area. Interact with local workers to get more information about the different qualities of tea. Later return to Darjeeling and evening is free for leisure walks or explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 – Darjeeling
Today very early in the morning around 3.30am will drive to visit the Tiger hill (it is the sunrise point over Mt. Khangchendzonga), the glimpse of sunrise from here will give you a different charm. Further we will return to city and on the way back we will visit Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop.

Post breakfast we will go on sightseeing tour of Darjeeling which includes Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday) and various Tea estate. Late afternoon is free for leisure walks or explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 – Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Kolkata (By Flight)
Morning after breakfast drive directly to Bagdogra airport (approx. 75Kms / 04 hours) to board flight for Kolkata. Upon arrival, rest of the day is free to explore the city or for individual activities.

Late night transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
