Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi
Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, you will be transferred to the hotel. (Early Check-in Subject to availability).

Delhi, the capital of kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope that is India.

Day 02: Delhi
Today we will start sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat – the memorial at the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Mosque – the largest Mosque in India and the Red Fort (from outside) – Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire.

Afternoon, sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue – Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave.

In evening enjoy dinner at local Indian restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra
Morning drive to Agra by car (approx. 210kms / 04hours). Upon arrival check-in to hotel and afternoon visit the Agra Fort containing the halls private and public audiences. Both buildings are truly spectacular and the Taj Mahal is now one of the wonders of the World.

Later visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Shahjahan in 1648 in memory of his Queen Mumtaj Mahal. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen (Friday Closed).

Later witness the display of Marble Inlay Work (same intricate work done on marbles used in Taj Mahal). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Agra – Abhaneri – Jaipur  
This day after breakfast, proceed to Jaipur (approx. 255kms / 05-06hours) en-route visiting Abhaneri. This village is home to an unheralded architectural jewel and one of the most beautiful step wells (Baori) in Rajasthan. Abhaneri was gifted with skilled craftsmen and many sculptures from Abhaneri belonging to the post Gupta period are displayed in various museums around the world.

Continue your drive to Jaipur. It is known as the rose pink capital of Rajasthan. The city owes its name from Maharaja Jai Singh who is a founder and a great astronomer.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. Evening visit Aarti ceremony at Birla Temple. Overnight at the hotel

Day 05: Jaipur
Today after breakfast excursion to Amber Fort situated just outside the city is perhaps the most beautiful example of Rajasthani forts and gives a grand view of the city down below. You can have the unique experience of traveling on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated.

Later visit City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the Central Museum with its large collection of woodwork, jewellery, costumes, brassware and pottery. Another monument near the City Palace is Jantar Mantar which is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen.

Evening is free to relaxation or explores the crowded and colourful lanes of the pink city’s local bazaars. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Jaipur – Pushkar
Morning after breakfast drive to Pushkar (approx. 150kms / 03hours). It happens to be the holiest places accordingly to the Hindus as it is considered that Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife Saraswati (the goddess of learning and music) performed a ritual in the lake. Here we visit the only Brahma temple in the world before intermingling with the local colour in the local bazaar.

Pushkar is also world famous for its cattle fair, which is held each year in the month of November. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Pushkar – Udaipur 
Morning after breakfast drive to Udaipur (approx. 280kms / 05hours). Udaipur is founded by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559 AD. Udaipur is a beautiful city of lakes, with hilltop fortresses and palaces. The city is proud of its heritage as a centre for performing arts, painting and crafts. Most of the marble palaces and fortification have now been transformed into palace hotels.

Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax in the comforts of your room. Late afternoon, enjoy exciting cultural folk dances of Rajasthan and special meal at the restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Udaipur
Morning after breakfast, day guided city tour to visit the City Palace, it stands on a hill surrounded by crenulated walls. Its main entrance is through the triple arched gate, the Tripolia, built in 1725.

Visit the Crystal Gallery, this is one the most lustrous attractions for tourist showcasing the rare and precious crystal from the royal treasure, closely is another fascinating monument Jagdish Temple, Built in 1651 A.D. by Maharaja Jagat Singh I. It is the largest and most splendid temple in Udaipur and later visit Sahalion Ki Bari.

Afternoon enjoy boat ride in lake Pichola. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: Udaipur – Mount Abu
Morning after breakfast drive to Mount Abu (approx. 165kms / 03hours). Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax in the comforts of your room and later visit Dilwara Jain Temple, Achalgarh Fort and enjoy sunset at Nakki lake. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Mount Abu – Patan – Modhera – Dasada    
Today after breakfast, drive to Dasada (approx. 225Kms / 05 hours) en-route visit Patan and Modhera. Upon arrival at Patan, visit the village which is famous for its Patola weaving by Salvi community. Here, we will see how they work on weaving and watch the Mushroom fabrics woven as a combination of silk & cotton with the latter forming the backing, dying and design.

After that visit the Rani Ki Vav step well built by the queen Udaymati, the wife of Bhimdev. These are some of the best example of such architecture for water wells in Gujarat. There are wonderful carved images in walls of this multi storied step well.
Later, drive to visit Modhera Sun temple-dedicated to god Sun. The Sun temple was built in 1026 AD during the reign of the Solanki king Bhima.

Continue your drive to Dasda. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax in the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Dasada
Today, after breakfast we will enjoy our Jeep safari to the Little Rann of Kutch to see the famous wild Ass. One can also see Blackbuck (Indian antelope), Nilgai, Indian Wolf, Desert Fox, the graceful chinkara and few species of snakes & birds.

Later visit Rabari and Banjara tribes of the region. Rabari tribe, constantly migrate in search for better grazing ground for their animals and Banjara on other hand settled here.

Afternoon visit some more rural villages of Dasada, known for their embroideries and silk-weavers. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Dasada – Bhuj
Today after breakfast, drive to Bhuj (approx. 275Kms / 05 hours). Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and later visit Kutch museum as it’s an oldest museum in Gujarat build in Italian style. It has various collection of archaeological objects and crafts. After that visit Aina Mahal Palace built by Rao Lakhpatji in 1750.

Late afternoon one can go for a visit to the nearby tribal market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Bhuj     
Today after breakfast, we will go to Banni group of villages. Here, we will be visiting the villages of Hodka, Ludiya and Dhordo to meets its native, which are Jat, Meghwal, Harijan and Mutva.

They are migrated from Rajasthan and stitch wall hangings, waistcoats and pouches in Kharek Stitch, beadwork on handheld fans, bracelets, toys and belts. Hodka is famous for its beautiful embroidery and mud work as much as leather craft.

In evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 14: Bhuj – Rajkot – Gondal      
Today after early breakfast, drive to Gondal (approx. 275Kms / 05 hours) en-route visit Rajkot to see the Watson Museum which has some excellent examples of Gujarati craftsmanship and at Rashtriya Shala, a co-operative where local people are working to revive hand-weaving styles indigenous to this area.

Continue your drive to Gondal. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and later visit the weaving centre & historic buildings of Gondal and visit Bharwad and Rabari villages around Gondal. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15: Gondal – Ahmedabad   
Today after breakfast, visit Navlakha Palace built in the mid-18th century and which houses the erstwhile ruling family’s private collection of beadwork, textiles, brassware, hand-painted toys and silver crafts.

Later drive to Ahmedabad (approx. 255Kms / 05 hours). Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and later visit Jama Masjid, the Sidi Sayyad’s Mosque – which is world renowned for its intricate lattice-work of rich and elaborate design and Calico Textile Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 16: Ahmedabad – Mumbai (By Flight)
After breakfast transfer to the airport to board flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and rest of the day is free to explore local market or enjoy you time at The Gateway of India or at Chowpatty Beach. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17: Depart Mumbai
Today morning after breakfast visit Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Dhobi Ghat and The Gateway of India. Later drive through the Crawford Market, Flora Fountain and panoramic view of Marine Drive & Chowpatty Beach.

Evening is free for relaxation and individual activities.

In night transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
