Package Cost Includes:

  1. Accommodation all the hotels on single or twin sharing basis.

  7. All pick up, drop, transfers and sightseeing tour as per itinerary by private air-conditioner car including all toll tax, parking and interstate taxes.

  1. Items of personal nature like Porterage, Tips, Laundry and Mineral water.
  2. Monument entrance fee to any monuments or camera fee.

  4. Any lunch, dinner, snacks or mineral water etc. unless mentioned in the itinerary.
  5. All other items and service not mentioned above.
  6. Company will not be responsible for any loss / Damage of Baggage, Train / Flight Delay or Cancellation due to technical fault or Natural disasters, Road blockage, Strike and Land slide etc.

Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrive Kolkata
Arrive Kolkata and meet the representative at the arrival hall and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 – Kolkata – Dibrugarh (By Flight)
Today morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight for Dibrugarh.

Dibrugarh is known as the tea capital of Assam because of the numerous tea estates that surrounds this town. Situated on the banks of the River Brahmaputra, Dibrugarh is surrounded by tea gardens with the misty outlines of the Himalayas in the background – Dibrugarh is the largest tea exporting town in India. One can go around the tea gardens which are located in and around the town. A large number of tea estates are located along highway covering large area of Dibrugarh district. Sometimes it is referred as the gateway to some districts of Arunachal Pradesh.

Upon arrival check-in at the bungalow and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Late afternoon, we will have a walk along with its tea gardens, which are spread like a green carpet. Overnight at the bungalow.

Day 03 – Dibrugarh
Morning proceed on a tour of a Tea Garden to practically see the origin and the history of tea- how it is grown and its culture. Visit the tea factory to observe the full process of manufacturing of CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) tea. Also visit Tea Estate- known for traditionally producing the fine tea.

In the afternoon drive to Digboi (Approx. 01 hour), the first oil industry in India. The refinery was started here by the British. This place still have British ambiance, visit near by Golf courses & cemetery. Later drive to near by village of Ketatong. Singphos are a tribe belonging to Burma and are elated to the Jingpo of China. It is said that British learnt the process of making tea from this tribe and later bring it to market. Also visit near by tea garden of the local community. Late afternoon return to the hotel. Overnight at the bungalow.

Day 04 – Dibrugarh – Jorhat
Today morning is free for relaxation or walk along with its tea gardens. Later, drive to Jorhat (approx. 140Kms / 04hours).Upon arrival check-in at the bungalow and relax amidst the comforts of your room.

Late afternoon, we will have a walk along with its tea gardens, which are spread like a green carpet. Overnight at the bungalow.

Day 05 – Jorhat
Today after breakfast we will explore the Majuli Island (Approx. 02 hours’ drive). The world’s largest River Island is famous for its twenty-two “satras”. Local worship Lord Vishnu is through dance and music. Witness daily routine of locals which includes working in the fields, tending cattle and prayer. They have local art and craft traditions, which can be found in this area. Explore near by villages from this area. Late afternoon return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06 – Jorhat – Guwahati
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Guwahati (approx. 310kms / 6-7hrs drive). Upon arrival check-in at the hotel and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Afternoon, visit Kamakhya Temple which is situated 08kms from the city and believed to be sacrificial site. This site is part of Assamese culture from last so many centuries.

There is a amazing view of the city and the mighty Brahmaputra River from the hill top. Evening is free to for individual activities or relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 – Guwahati – New Jalpaiguri (By Train) – Kurseong
Today morning after early breakfast, you will transfer to Guwahati railway station where you will board train to New Jalpaiguri.

Arrive New Jalpaiguri station and meet the representative at the arrival hall and drive to Kurseong (Approx. 02hours). Upon arrival check-in at the bungalow and relax amidst the comforts of your room. Late afternoon, we will have a walk along with its tea gardens. Overnight at the bungalow.

Day 08 – Kurseong
Morning we will take a tour in and around the tea estate and a brief overview of how tea is grown, manufactured and tasted. Followed by a walk and drive around the tea estate visiting plantations, nurseries to witnessing how Tea is grown. Interact with the local workers of estate and participate in tea plugging & other activities.

Visit the tea factory to know the whole process of tea making. Here, get a chance to see the full process of manufacturing like crushing, tearing and curling of tea. Evening is free to walk along with its tea gardens. Overnight at the bungalow.

Day 09 – Kurseong – Darjeeling
Today very early in the morning around 3.00am will drive to visit the Tiger hill (it is the sunrise point over Mt. Khangchendzonga), the glimpse of sunrise from here will give you a different charm. Further we will return to city and on the way back we will visit Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop.

Post breakfast we will go on sightseeing tour of Darjeeling which includes Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday) and various Tea estate. Late afternoon is free for leisure walks or explore the local market. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 – Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Kolkata (By Flight)
Morning after breakfast, drive to Bagdogra airport (approx. 80Kms / 03 ½ hours) to board flight for Kolkata. Arrive Kolkata and rest of the day is free to explore the city or for individual activities.

Late night transfer to the airport for your departure flight for onward destination.
