Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrive Cochin
On arrival our representative will greet you at Cochin airport/ Railway Station and then transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 – Cochin
Cochin has been a gathering place of merchants since antiquity and is full of bustling traders. A half day tour is planned for you which includes Fort Kochi which is the oldest European settlement in India (1500), and has a mixture of English, Dutch and Portuguese influence. The Mattancherry Palace was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, but extensive renovations by the Dutch some hundred years later earned it the name the Dutch Palace. It has some of the best murals in India, depicting scenes from the Ramayana and other great legends. On our tour we visit the Jew town synagogue where Kochi’s surviving Jewish community come to worship. Nearby are the interesting cantilevered Chinese Fishing nets.

In the early evening we see a performance of Kathakali, which is thought by some to be the very essence of the culture of Kerala. Its origins may have come from traditional temple rituals and from an art form known as Koodiyattam. It is the face make up which makes this dancing so unique. The dancers can take up to three hours painting their faces – the features are heavily emphasised as it is the facial expressions and coordinated eye movements which are important in the dance. The dances usually portray events from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, great Indian epics. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 – Cochin – Palakkad
Today after breakfast take drive to Palakkad (Approx. 145kms / 03hours). On arrival in Palakkad, check in at your resort located on towering hills of Western Ghats offering panoramic views of the valley. Rest of the day free for your leisure activities and also enjoying various Ayurvedic treatments. You can also practice meditation and yoga at the resort. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 04 – Palakkad
This morning enjoy your yoga session. After breakfast visit Silent Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a 50 million years old hidden diamond of India full of flora and fauna in the abode of Western Ghats. Many have passed since then but none have been able to put the exact words for its beauty which only can be experienced while visiting. Explore the hidden trails with your guide & evening is free for relaxation or practice yoga at your resort. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 05 – Palakkad – Wayanad
Today after breakfast take drive to Wayanad (Approx. 185kms / 05hours) en-route visiting the world famous Kottaykkal Arya Vaidya Shala in Malappuram founded in 1902 by an Ayurvedic Doctor P.S. Varier. It is not only the oldest Ayurvedic institutions but also the center which has cured many common and famous people from all over world. Experience authentic Ayurvedic massage that will benefit you for a long time.

On arrival, check in at your resort located in tranquil settings of lush green fields which gives a unique authentic Indian rural experience. Have traditional South Indian meal & learn Ayurvedic theory with an expert followed by Ayurvedic session in evening at outdoors & plantation walk. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 06 – Wayanad
Today spend your time stretching your body and mind in morning meditation class before breakfast. After breakfast, take a dynamic stretching class to warm up your body followed by guided stroll of the property.

Afternoon is free and have some rest before Ayurvedic cooking class. Learn the ancient principles of blending spices and know correct combination of vegetable and other ingredients to prepare a perfect ayurvedic meal. Evening is free for relaxation or practice yoga at your resort. Day 07 – Wayanad – Mysore
This morning after breakfast drive to Mysore (Approx. 120kms / 03hours), one of the most popular yoga destinations in India which is also loved for its temples & stately palaces. Check in at your resort in Mysore and meet your traditional yoga guru for lesson on ancient yoga practices & meditation class.

In afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Mysore Palace, one of the finest palaces in India followed by cooking demo and dinner with local family in town. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 08 – Mysore
This morning enjoy your yoga session at the resort. After breakfast, proceed to visit the sprawling Maharaja’s Palace with its outstanding treasures and ivory inlaid doors. Also visit St. Philomena’s Church, a beautiful Cathedral reminiscent of Medieval Architecture with stained glass Windows and lofty Towers. Explore your afternoon by proceeding to Brindavan Gardens which is one of its kinds in the country and located 19kms from Mysore. This ornamental garden is situated at the base of Krishnaraja Sagar dam across Cauvery River. Evening is free for your leisure activities or practice meditation and yoga at the resort. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 09 – Mysore – Bangalore
Morning after breakfast drive to Bangalore (approx. 230kms / 05hours) which is capital city of Karnataka. On the way visit Shravanbelagola, a Jain pilgrimage center. It is home to the world’s largest monolith statue of Lord Bahubali and on the opposite side, there is a small hill called Chandragiri, famous for its Jain temples and the tomb of Chandragupta Maurya.

Thereafter continue your drive to Bangalore popularly known as the Garden City with well laid out parks and gardens, long avenues of brightly blossomed trees and salubrious climate throughout the year. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. The evening is free for relaxation or individual activities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 – Bangalore (Departure)
Today morning after breakfast, start your sightseeing tour of Bangalore which includes visit to Tipus Sultan’s Palace – a fine specimen of military architecture of the 18th century with a two storied ornate structure built entirely in wood, Bull temple at Basavangudi, Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park and Lalbagh Botanical Gardens. Afternoon is free for relaxation or individual activities.

In night transfer to the airport to connect international flight for onward destination.
