1)GANESH CHATHURTHI: This festival held during the months of August and September ,People worship lord Ganesha who is believed to be remover of obstacles and god of wisdom ,this festival is also known as vinayaka chathuthi lasts for 10days ,this is celebrated all over India
This year this will be celebrated from 2nd September to 12th september2019
2)ABHANERI FESTIVAL: This festival is celebrated in Abhaneri city in Rajasthan, this festival is celebrated for 2-4 days .The motive of this festival is to show richness ,colour and diversity of Rajasthan .you will enjoy langa singing ,Kacchi ghodi dance ,bhawai dance , very interesting puppet show and art works etc.
This is a local festival celebrated only in Abhaneri village which is 90kms away from Jaipur .
This year it will be celebrated from 29th and 30th September 2019.
3)NAROPA FESTIVAL: This is festival is related to Buddhism it is celebrated in Ladakh .This is festival is also known as KUMBHA OF LADAKH .The grand opening ceremony of it mesmerize everyone ,during this festival people visit Hemis Monastery .
This festival takes place once in 12years.Now it will be celebrated in 2030.
4)ONAM FESTIVAL: This festival is celebrated in Kerala at the end of the monsoon season and celebrated for 10days ,another name of this festival is harvest festival also .this festival is famous for decoration of flowers ,elephant procession ,snake boat race, tiger dance and traditional music performance .Main motive of this festival is to establish the culture and the beauty that comes from it.

5)PAYIPPAD SNAKE BOAT RACE :This traditional snake boat race takes place every year in Kerala this race is linked with Hindu temple Subramanya swamy temple
The main attraction of this race is that 50 to 100 rowers accommodate themselves in a long boat they sing enthusiastic songs to motivate each other ,people from various place come to see this boat race

9) NAVRATRI OR DURGA PUJA–NINE NIGHTS OF FASTING AND CELEBRTAIONS :Navratri is nine nights long celebration is one of the major festival of north India and on Gujarat, during this festival people follow a religious fasting regime . People perform DANDIYA AND GARBA dance to worship goddess Amba in nine forms, huge idols installed on podiums and massive pandal decoration is done to cover the whole city in the excitement of this festival.
